Sandoval Economic Alliance to host business workshops
The Sandoval Economic Alliance will host two educational workshops to help businesses learn about workforce, incentives and tax credits, financing and real estate. These free events will be held in Cuba, N.M., and in Bernalillo. Both sessions will feature a workshop followed by an open house, with subject matter experts available from the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Realty One of New Mexico, the Small Business Development Center, the New Mexico Economic Development Department and the New Mexico Finance Authority.
“We recognize and appreciate the importance of existing business as a main source of economic stability in our community and are committed to providing support for continued vitality and growth of local businesses,” said Dianne Maes, director of business development for Sandoval County.
Attendees can expect to learn all about New Mexico incentive programs, the difference between rural and urban incentives, incentives vs. tax credits, tax credit training, industry-specific tax credits, financing programs available, resources for attracting talent, real estate best practices, and additional tools available. Light refreshments will be provided.
The first session is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 24 at the Sandoval County Fairgrounds, 37 Rodeo Road in Cuba. The second is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 5 at El Zocalo, 264 S. Camino Del Pueblo in Bernalillo.
